Talkin’ Dirt
Conversations about farming, food
and the people who make it happen…
Welcome to Talkin’ Dirt, a podcast and platform dedicated to conversations about the land, the people who work it, the realities they face and everything farming in-between.
I’m Robert, and I started Talkin’ Dirt because I believe that farming isn’t just about growing food—it’s about culture, community, and resilience. This podcast will dig into the stories of farmers, ranchers, and industry experts to explore everything from trends in agriculture to the economic and political realities of working the land.
My interest in farming began in early 2023 when I started eating a carnivore diet. That shift led me to start sourcing my food directly from regenerative farms, and over time, I became deeply invested in understanding the state of farming in our country and the world. The more I learned, the more I realized how critical the farming industry is —not just for the health of our food but for the future of our communities. I’m so excited to learn more about farming as this project ramps up.
Looking Ahead
Beyond the podcast, I have a bigger vision: to create a hostel and community farm—a place where people can come together to learn about farming, experience farming firsthand, and reconnect with the land. I see it as a space for education, collaboration, and hands-on involvement in sustainable food production.
Stay tuned—big things are ahead!
